The Judge should have him stay in prison instead of releasing him. That's a slap on the face to the family.

They just released a murderer who was sentenced to death after 25 years! Great.. how ridiculous?! The justice system is completely broken

He should be sentence to live in prison

I am shocked that when someone goes missing who is always so conscientious about her work and habits etc is still not considered missing for 24 hours in such awful weather conditions.

Shame on abusing a person that has a disability and killing them because they couldnt get what they wanted a dispicable and heinous act!

Murderers should be in prison for life

Huge red flags about Jeff even before he wanted the posters taken down.

He is out there bashing other poor women now. THANKS JUSTICE FOR NOT GIVING A DAMN.

I wonder if the detectives on this case ever reflected and realised that they had completely dropped the ball for so long?

'Things like this just don't happen'

Really, I can almost guarantee that someone, somewhere in the world is doing just this! Evil people do evil things,  every second of every day!

George Porter is a despicable excuse for a man, only slightly less despicable is the decision of the justice system to sentence him to death originally, then reduce it to a 25-year sentence, all of the despicable things he put Teresa through before taking her life should have seen him at the very least never be released from prison, is it any wonder people lose faith in a legal system that makes such illogical delusional decisions that are truly impossible to comprehend and leave family, friends and the public all speechless and quite rightly disgusted.

I know that documentaries have a way of not revealing certain points until later to add to the suspense or whatever but I would have thought that if detectives had interviewed Kira's family and friends they would have been immediately suspicious of her husband and been extremely detailed in investigating his story and interviewd him at the station at the very beginning .

I don’t understand
If neighbors watch out for each other
And the only source of heat was a wood burning stove
Why did it take so many days to think that something was wrong

I can't believe that following another interview with Jeff and speaking to the lodger they just seemed stonewalled? That was it? Did they still not investigate more with him at that point?

What kind of idiotic mindset is this?
He was just a little man unable to beat someone like that.
Or that person was so nice and there's no way she could've moved such a big body.
Are you kidding me?
We've seen it happen over and over again!
I just recently watched this video about a 5 feet tall 110 pounds little lady in her late 40s with huge glasses looking like the cutest grandma or aunt.
She may have been.
But she also killed her partner who was 300 pounds.
She killed him with a hammer, then proceeded to dismember him with just the regular items found in a kitchen, mainly knives.
People say it's almost impossible to dismember a human body.
Apparently not.
People have killed animals thousands of years. They've removed their skin and dismembered them.
Long before we got electric tools.
Don't hunters still today dismember the animals by hand with a knife?
A moose is an enormous animal, twice the size of a human.
If a person can dismember a moose by knife why not a body?
Anyways my point is that people in general judge people by their looks.
I don't understand that.
But for Law Enforcement to have the same preconceptions as regular, ignorant people is just scary.
They should know better.
We all should be beyond this mindset of criminals looking like Frankenstein.
Murderers look like Ted Bundy, Chris Watts, Richard Ramirez, OK and John Wayne Gacey.
Some are also good looking women like Casey Anthony and such.
They're amongst us and look like us!

Omg
Guys threatening to beat up Theresa and police are called
Prime suspect
And his criminal record takes up a couple of boxes

A very scattered police investigation that they weren't aware of the sabotage to Kira's car until after her boss was ruled out. Then they jump to thinking her murder could be related to others and they still haven't fully investigated her husband? What on earth?

US law sucks. If he's too dumb to face the death penalty then keep his ass locked up for life. He's proven time and time again that he's violent towards women, that has nothing to do with IQ.

So.... they said her boss was ALSO a person of interest  but up to this point there is no actual mention of what they did to investigate him . They seemed to take him at face value and let him misdirect them to the boss. What had they done to investigate Jeff up to that point?

His story about taking her car to get has for the following morning is screwy. Hearing how organised and that she was a perfectionist , she would have ensured her car had plenty of gas the night before for the following day.
