Thank heavens these crooks never listen to the guy or gal who suggests they quit while they're ahead. If they did, the show would only be about 14 minutes long.
I particularly liked Bill Boyett, who had a long, distinguished acting career in supporting TV roles ... such as Malloy's and Reed's watch commander, Sgt. MacDonald, on ADAM-12.
That lab guy's mustache has to be fake. The printer was talkative enough to give away the location of his shop. Duh. Sharp printer...had all his bases covered. gave Matthews all the right answers.Oops! So, giving Mattthews the book sample was not so sharp for the printer to do. The patrolman in civilian clothes acts like a robot.
Alot of this episode was shot at Willoughby Ave. and Highland Ave. in Hollywood. You can see the old Bekins building in background. That building is still there today.
The location filming adds to the realism and appeal of these episodes. Small towns in Southern California during the mid to late 1950's. Business districts, local traffic, neighborhood post offices, banks and drug stores. Cool.
