INTRODUCING for the first time, we're tapping into London legend DAVE and his new project "The Boy Who Played The Harp" 💿🔥

Being a green as we are to UK Artists, we were able to go into this one with open ears and REALLY digest the album and it's truly special. It's a little heavier, so get your minds ready for this 2025 masterpiece to make you think and reflect. And the best part is having us there to steer the ship!

This video was uploaded on October 26, 2025 to the MalloryBros. Music Monday tier. It marks the Bros’ first ever on-camera reaction to a Dave project. They didn’t originally plan to listen on camera, but after heavy fan demand, they hit play. And it paid off. Not only did they enjoy it, Terrell still says to this day it’s the best rap album he’s heard all year. And that’s saying a lot in a stacked 2025.

A lot of references they missed due to not knowing UK/Africa culture but Dave been a true lyricist when conveying real life messages. Def one of the best albums of 2025

17:30 the “steak” thing was a bar he said “Wagyu on the fifty-second floor just to take the piss And somehow we’ve had to deal with higher stakes (steaks) than this”
Terrance was right😂

43:00 the “how do I explain my mechanic is a chick” is about him cheating on his girl, like the line about Serge calling him but Serge is in the car with him and his girl (he saved his side piece as Serge in his phone so his girl wouldn’t find out). He now saved his side piece as “mechanic” in his phone so when she calls, he now needs to explain to his girl how his mechanic is a woman and why a mechanic would even be calling him meanwhile he doesn’t even drive cause his license is revoked.

You guys did a great job understanding the songs even without living and understanding black british culture. A song like chapter 16 hits even HARDER then.

That’s Kano, 100% legend. Talking about when they were on set. They were both in Top boy together. That song is absolutely insane

A Dave album reaction from the MalloryBros before GTA6????? I used to pray for times like this 😭🤝🏾🤝🏾👏🏾

I’m sorry, but this album is the best to come out this year, genuinely. It just won’t get nominated for Grammy’s and all because he’s a UK rapper and critics won’t rate him because of the accent and the prejudice

The Reaction Quality is insane, my personal favorite channel. Especially because you guys get stuff even tho you don't have the context with Kano being a respected OG for example. Much love. Quality is insaaaaaaane

It’s so funny to me how at 26:18 Terrell was trying to explain the last bar of Dave’s verse to Terrance and then when Tems came in he just lost his words. She came in too smooth!!
