She's saying you can't just   make pictures without me knowing

Really enjoyed this video ,refreshing to see Suriname portrayed in such a real and honest way. Compared to a lot of other videos on YouTube, where things can feel a bit romanticized, this felt much closer to reality.

I’m Surinamese-Javanese myself (born in the Netherlands), my parents live there, and I visit regularly. It’s a beautiful country and I truly love going there, but like anywhere, there are also sides that aren’t always as ideal.

The way you captured it in this video really resonates with how I experience Suriname as well. Respect for showing both the beauty and the reality, that’s what makes this video stand out.

You met the wrong people in this nice country

Surinamese people actually not really like the people in the market there, they normally are really open and kind

Bruuuh, nearly bled into German there 😂😂

“I’m not American!, I’m not American!” Lmaooooo  xD

let it be said i am of surinamese origin and i apologize to all tourist who visit surinam and got ill treated by the marroon population at the market .these people have a hostile temperament towards tourist who film them maybe they still fear that the camera captures their spirit in one way or the other but that is pure out of ignorance on their part .it is relatively not long ago when they came out of the bush and still get adapted to the new things in ia civilized city. we also have a saying in suriname and use it to tease friends and family when they behave stupid or ignorant then we say 'fosie tron djoeka' that literally means that the person you say it to is behaving like he or she is so not used being in a civilized world.

My bad foryou experiencing some “ MAPANGPANG DAGU MANIRI “ people here in Suriname. We usually don’t visit that gross ass mark that’s why they’re mean. You should go to the (SAOENA Markt) That’s a very friendly and nice place to be TRUST ME OUR FRIEND❤❤🇸🇷🇸🇷

Love Suriname, brought me some good memories back this one Matt mate

Notice how not all poor people are rude but of course these ones are....

Waka Waka=F off...LOL! You are freakin hilarious!

I'm from Suriname bro

Next level traveller 🎉

Sadly our people are quite rough around the edges and under developed in certain aspects of social life. Nice video bro stay safe!

ons gastvrije suriname baja. wat een presentatie...

16:32 bro, why smoke in the car??

Matt it’s a good thing you have  a good attitude , these people have a terrible attitude , most seem to dry miserable , a good attitude goes a long way , interesting videos , enjoy watching your travels .

Epic video 😂😂😂

Suriname needs major repairs to it's infrastructure, especially the roads and houses.

20:07   US$ 5 for a frozen treat made with unfiltered water and cheap ‘Kool-Aid’? 😮 That’s more expensive than a 100ml Häagen-Dazs here in Brazil. Those 'sorbets' in Brazil cost around 50 cents USD! Here, they are mostly called ‘gelinho’ or ‘sacolé’
