The ranch was established by Fernando Pérez Tabernero in 1884 with cattle from the Veragua and Miura lines, with subsequent purchases of Veragua stock. In 1911, the herd was divided among his sons, with Alipio acquiring two bulls from the Murube line and later a group of females. In 1922, he eliminated all the stock from the previous lineage and replaced it with a group of females and bulls from his brother Graciliano Pérez-Tabernero's Santa Coloma lineage, further increasing it in 1925 with another group of cows and bulls, also from his brother, of the same lineage. In 1971, he transferred the ranch to his son Alipio Pérez-Tabernero Sánchez, and in 1976, it passed to his grandson Alipio Pérez-Tabernero Martín. Since 1922, the ranch has not been crossbred, and therefore, this herd can be considered a distinct breed with its own unique characteristics.
