Incredible. Yia is an inspiration, as are his parents. I'm the child of Vietnamese refugees, my dad fought against the Viet Cong and my parents fled during the fall of Saigon. This video has me crying at 7:30am for a stranger with a familiar story. Thanks Meat Eater

The Hmong community is one of the last holding traditional and old school values and skills. They have tons of farms around me.

What a great story. What a magnificent man your dad is and woman your mother is and son you are. I have so much respect for the refugees from that stupid damn war. People like this and people like Thích Nhất Hạnh and tens of thousand of other nameless men, women and children. It's wonderful to see the stories of these cultures thriving here.
