This video is from my fourth stay at Bluejohn canyon in late July 2015 near the 2003 accident site of Aron Ralston. It starts with a time-lapse sequence from the highway out all the way to the slot entrance. The big rock right before the drop site is 8:33. A logjam was discovered - pics of that are at 9:10. Information about the context of my set ups is at 10:34 and 14:23. The drop site locale time-lapse sequence is at 15:45 (included is a slot entrance to boulder time-lapse, but really my previous video w my dad has two more refined & uncut traverses down this same path with a GoPro that are in real time on that video and provide much better idea of that traverse). A down canyon time-lapse above the accident boulder is at 23:31. The conical spire sunset photos are at 30:07. For a time-lapse of the accident boulder, see my video post from June of 2014. Has the route to the boulder become popular? I would imagine the accident site has become sort of a tourist spot for hikers. I just hope people don't ruin it with graffiti on the canyon walls.
I would have like to hear your thoughts about the accident site.... what's it like, closed in quarters, claustrophobic. Getting a good idea of what Aron must have gone through.
