Hi I have been looking at cwd  for pond build as you said do all the cut and proved all screws I’m just worried about fitting window and I see it was just on grass  just wondering do you work for them just after some advice we have met at jack open day at the shop  thanks Dave

Just a couple of suggestions on fasteners.
Have you looked at reisser screws? They make similar to the timberlock but are countersunk and have a torx socket. Also I think they were referred to as timber connectors. They were used in hand cut roofs and looks like a big washer. Hole in the centre and spikes on both faces.
On a different note from over 40 years in UK timber industry. Subject to availability the following softwoods based on durability not strength.
Coastal redwood
Larch
Douglas fir
They are durable with out pressure treatment.
Pine
Spruce
Both require treatment and often rot from the inside.
Incising increases depth of treatment but maybe seen as unsightly to the customer.
You could also consider either oak without sap or sweet chestnut treatment will not penetrate but both have natural tannins which slows decay.
