The 5 Minute Ritual Aleister Crowley Did Before Everything Else (A Man on Death Row Used It Too)
Quiet Hours 2
627 views
It takes 5 minutes, needs no candles and no room, and Aleister Crowley performed it before everything else he ever did. It is called the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram.
This film does 3 things. It shows you the ritual, movement by movement. It shows you where the ritual actually came from, which is roughly 1000 years earlier than anybody tells you: the invocation of the 4 archangels is a Jewish bedtime prayer that children have said in the dark since the Geonic period, and the Golden Dawn's entire invention was to ROTATE it and pin the 4 angels to the 4 compass points. And then, in chapter 4, it performs the whole rite with you in real time.
Also here: why Crowley published a secret he had sworn to keep, the sentence he put at the top of Liber O telling you not to believe any of it, and the 1905 footnote where he calls this rite the Medicine of Metals and the Stone of the Wise.
