The Yodoyabashi Gate Tower, a complex housing commercial facilities and office floors, will open on July 9th in Yodoyabashi, Osaka. An open house was held on the 7th. This large-scale mixed-use building, with 29 floors above ground and 2 floors underground, is directly connected to Yodoyabashi Station on the Osaka Metro.
Yodoyabashi Station One, which opened earlier to the east of the Gate Tower, is reportedly still fully occupied in both its commercial and office floors, even a year after its opening.
How will this once-dominant office district change in the future? Based on an interview with Professor Mitsuichi Kana of Osaka Metropolitan University, commentator Makoto Yamanaka will present a live report from the site.
