Part 3 holds a special place for me because it's the first one i saw as a teenager. I do think the first 4 are the best in the series.

I usually just watched 1 - 3 because it kinda makes sense and it wasn't too supernatural.

You are soo right that that scene of him running in the background through that little window is scary. I don't remember ever seeing that before. Wow!

My dad saw the first "Friday the 13th" in theaters back in 1980. What's funny is that he saw it with a woman who was about to go off to work as a camp counselor. From what I recall my dad telling me, the movie did frighten her.

Absolutely love part 3, Chris is My favorite final girl in the franchise & the most underrated in horror history…

I feel these first three were scarier entries, before Jason was an icon. Part 3 is especially entertaining.

I prefer parts 1-4 where Jason is still human and makes mistakes. Part 2 is the scariest for me. Sack-head Jason is just extra creepy.

I think Pamela was ultimately defeated by Alice because she went completely off the rails and was so angry and unhinged that it became her undoing

Part 2 is my favourite Friday movie. I think it has the best characters/acting/atmosphere. Part 3 is a lot of fun but you’re right about Pamela’s jump scare at the end - such a dumb idea!

The Kris part 3 encounter in the woods pre movie with Jason is a dream

I saw the original Friday the 13th when I was 11 years old. It’s one of my favorite movies. No other ending compares to that jump scare. I was terrified during the coffee making scene because at any moment, something can jump through the window and brutally kill Alice the way the others have been killed. I thought it was very suspenseful.

The first 5 friday movies kept jason hidden for most of the movies, and then part 6 just ignores that and does a fun take on it. Honestly both F13 and Halloween are goated

Part 3 is my favorite....it was the last one that had that early 80's campy feel/atmosphere.

@montybruce6079 1 year ago

I'm too young to have experienced these on release. I can certainly appreciate these movies and certainly glad they exist but am never in the mood to watch re-watch them.

So I was born in 78, Halloween was the first movie I ever say at 15 months old. I grew up with these movies and I can tell you as a child in the 80's these movies were terrifying.

Part 2 is my favorite of the series, closely followed by part 3. Just the overall look and vibe of those films are unmatched by any sequel

@SJcollects 1 year ago

14:18 yes I feel the same adoration for that era of horror films. There’s such a distinct vibe to them, quite cozy.

FT13 P2 began filming a little over 4 and half months after The Original FT13 reached theaters on 05/09/1980. That tells you how quick Paramount and the Production Comany Georgetown responded after the financial success of the original.
