Here are two wonderful hotels in the Hakuba area of Nagano Prefecture that I actually stayed at, each with a completely different style.
The first is Hotel La Neige, a luxurious hotel where you can feel like a celebrity from the moment you step inside. The jacuzzi in the room and the extravagant breakfast are must-sees!
The second is the modern Evo Hotel, conveniently located right next to the bus terminal and with Happo-no-Yu hot spring right in front. It was so comfortable that I would recommend it for long-term stays as well.
