Weighing out each rubber by the decimal point like that is the most German thing I've ever seen

Timo is one of the all-time legends of the sport and here he is saying "Y'know I'm just lucky that I'm a sponsored player."

Timo has got to be one of the most modest and nice people in history.

So nobody gonna tell him that "lighter" rubbers were touching the table?

Step 1: Lay out $9000 in Dignics rubbers. :D

Hi, Timo. I'm 61 years young and very enthusiastic about table tennis.  My way to glued the rubbers is more quick, and I think it is because I didn't have more experience doing that. I have been learning little by little, and with your video, I just learned that is safe to let the glue dry completely before putting the rubber on the blade. It is great to know that now. I have watched you playing, and your experience and techniques are amazing . I've been playing for only 3 years. I don't have a coach, so I watch people playing, and I try to copy them, hahaha😂 that way I have improve some. Bye now, and have a blessed day.

One of the most humble players in the game. A Legend for many reasons. May you continue playing professionally for another 20 years. Also, i was wondering why he has not hired someone to do these tasks. But then i self-answered, which could be right, that top players do not like even the slightest mistake on their equipment. Also, they can themselves feel the equipment and ensure that it is 100% according to their need.

A lot of table tennis enthusiasts I've encountered are snobbish, psycho aholes who take themselves way too seriously and rely on mind games and arrogance to gain some kind of edge. Yet here you have a living legend, one of the best in the world, super humble, super likable, super open about his equipment, and seems like he'd be pleasant to be around. Maybe more players should follow suit, idk.

Timo you are not lucky to be sponsored.
You are the German Goat of this sport so Butterfly is lucky to have you. :)

Anyway nice that you still very appreciate the fact that they give you the material for free.

Spiele nicht einmal Tischtennis aber gucke Timo fasziniert dabei zu, wie er Gummischeiben wiegt und murmel "nein, das ist eindeutig zu leicht, das würde ich auch nicht spielen" vor mich hin. Absolut Sympathisch!

Timo, the professional, humble and loyal TT player. He nerver hide his profile: equipments and his ideology, unlike many others who are sponsered by one brand but used other brand ( blade and rubbers), he always followed the IITF guidelines with respect and sincerity. A true sports man with transparent personality.

Wah, Timo is so professional even on filming and video editing😌😁

Timo has been, and still is a legend.

You are a role model of an athlete sir 👍
Always prioritize fairplay whether in game or off game
No wonder you are a legend 🏆

We're lucky to have a top pro, a real legend too doing youtube videos. Thanks Timo!

4:03 i think you made an error measuring that rubber weight....border of the rubber is touching the table.

Hmm! Learnd few things from Timo as always! He's a gem!

will never forget the moment I shaked timos hands when I was a 12 years old boy .. that was 14 years ago and timo is still up there

He’s weighing the rubbers but part of the rubber is resting on the table lol.

Table Tennis is one sport where even the top players personally handle the "stringing" of their equipment. One reason why we love this game. Given how fast and exciting the game is played and the interesting personalities (like Timo Boll) and contrasting playing style of the top players from all over the world, it deserves more following, bigger sponsors and higher prize money that what it gets now as compared to Tennis and Badminton. But I'm happy that it's getting more airtime now and the quality of the TV production coverage has greatly improved.

We gotta see Timo’s morning coffee routine!
