I feel bad for the girls who actually seemed alternative, they looked pretty uncomfortable and actually tried avoiding talking about sexual things

This dating show feels like an AI slop, but with real people...

The term poser exists for a reason.

i hate when subcultures become some kind of fetish for pleasure.

Blah blah blah, no mention of any Goth bands at all, They’re just E-girls who haven’t got a clue about the Goth subculture

Social media will destroy every subculture and, in fact, ensure that no new one will ever emerge. Certainly not in the same form we know it.

Goths, gatekeep your culture. It's to me one of the more interesting things out there and should be protected.

@TheMadFlasher 4 months ago

Stereotypes give me a headache.

@OerGoth-u3n 4 months ago

Because of this shit, we have to do gatekeeping or safeguarding

@ratnashdimera 4 months ago

There not actually dating, it's an act. Just as there acting to be steriotyped goth.
I would not even consider them dating material.

The machine really won, every countercultural idea and identity has become a product to be merchandised. Im not a goth, but I have seen this happen with metal, with techno, with punk, with rap...
We're here critizing this while those guys are making money on the account of other's identity. This is an uphill struggle.

15:10 her voice is in fact fake and she does that for a role cuz once I got a tiktok with her speaking in her normal voice so yea she's faking it, y'all can look it up 🙌🏻

Just because someone dresses differently doesn't mean you have to objectify them or sexualize them there just human beings just like everybody else

@gloomymonstercircus 4 months ago

something upsetting i didn't realize before is that i share a lot of the physical mannerisms this Nephie person is faking, like yikes let people be silly and whimsical without it being creepy

As a baby bat, the show was painful to watch. If I were the guy I would ask the question "What is your favorite goth band other than The Cure, Bauhaus, or Siouxsie and the Banshees?" If they can't name a single one (I personally have a few that are pretty niche) then I would personally leave the show and go to an actual goth club to find a goth girlfriend.

Seeing Goth people getting objectified is sad, I’m not a Goth but I love yalls esthetic and I really wish it wasn’t given so many negative stereotypes

Had such a strange experience at a goth party, there was a guy by the entrance who didn't look alt, but I thought be just didn't want to dress up like that, it turned out he didn't even know what kind of party it was, he was acting super weird and asked me if a choker meant I liked being choked, while my choker looked victorian-like elegant
