I went to Nusa Dua in 1977 to surf. Also took mask , snorkel and flippers to dive after a surf. I went over to an old guy in his fishing outrigger and grabbed a baited fishing reel from him and started catching fish as I could see where they were. Every time I caught a fish he instantly re baited my line. On returning to the beach he invited me to his small shack for a meal of our fish and a few beers. No hotels in those days only a very small fishing village. He wanted no money but we paid him well in any case. Lovely people. Whow it’s changed.

Adam you are right. 20 odd years ago the nusa islands were just dirt tracks, the blow hole had no fencing, was great to get drenched at high tide, but now all fenced off. Love to relax for the first few days in this area doing nothing before venturing onwards.

The  Mulia is unbelievable, a must on your bucket list, to stay at least once. The best restaurants and the best all you can eat buffet, hard to beat. Love love it.

Treated ourselves to a night at the hyatt Nusa dua on our last trip. Much prefer the smaller low key places, but once in a blue moon 🤷

When I was living and working in Jakarta we sometimes used to check in to one of those Nusa Dua resorts for a weekend of total Relaxation and Destress, usually Grand Hyatt, Sheraton, Westin and also the old Nusa Dua Beach for the occasional conference.

We came back up from Perth and stayed at the Grand Hyatt when the borders first opened again after Covid, The rooms are still lovely, but could do with a refresh, which they may have gotten by now. Being an older hotel the gardens are well established and Beautiful. Food and service is as spectacular as you would expect, much like it's sister resort in Sanur.

Another great video about Bali and Balinese language. It’s always interesting listening to your videos because you always include language lessons and culture while showing beautiful areas of Bali.

Thanks so much for covering this area of Nusa Dua Adam. Stayed at Mulia last year and it was sooo goood we are going back in Nov to end our 3 week Bali holiday with family.  Six of us including 82 yr's young mother in law. The holiday sites really reduce the price. We have all food, afternoon tea, 2 hrs cocktails (proper stuff)  and 1 bdrm pool villa's.  We have travelled much of the world and this place is the best. Service is out of this world. Can't recommend enough. Now have plenty of jalan jalan places to explore after your post. Thanks again!

I cant afford the high end resorts......but my friend can! When she holidays in Bali she invites suamiku and I to visit her there at Nusa Dua.We have a lovely day enjoying all the "perks" of a pricey resort.She is a down to earth girl and in no way uppity so we have a lot of fun.That was a lovely walk around Adam,another absolutely gorgeous day in beautiful Bali.

My son and I will be staying at The Balé next to Mulia in Oct. Will have to pop in for a pastry 😊

Fascinating, this one part of Bali that I am yet to explore. As you say it certainly has its place and suits a certain clientele. Lots for everyone though, definitely going down there next time. I did end on the toll road on a scooter recently. That was so much fun, especially on the interchange section where you stay on to head north to Sanur. Keep up the good work… 👌

I've stayed there at the Nusa Dua beach hotel that does all inclusive deals and they are great especially if your plan is just to chill  The track there is still good enough for a run and you can take day trips for lunch or dinner . We love it. Ps the track you walked on I ran regularly cheers.

Planning on our 3rd trip to Bali next year. I haven’t done nusa dua or Sanur yet but we have done Munduk and Amed. Thinking this time going 3-4 nights at a resort in ND to chill and then heading to pemuteran for real Bali, then finish the holiday in Sanur. Should be best of both worlds 😅
