Instructor Kono is widely known for his amazing body movements and his research into swordsmanship, taijutsu, and staff techniques.

As he taught effective ways to move the body through "kobujutsu," word of his amazing work spread by word of mouth.

He has taught Japan's leading judo athletes, active sumo wrestlers, kendo instructors, and other athletes.

In recent years, his techniques and theories have attracted great interest in a wide range of fields, including musical instrument performance, nursing care, robotics, and education.

Kobudo holds many hidden hints for "optimizing" bodily movement.

Originally, "kobujutsu" was a technique for fighting for one's life, and its movements are closely related to the functional and effective movement of the human body.

He says that the physical education taught in schools today, and even the movements of athletes, are not moving in the way that humans should.

What Mr. Kono taught me was about our everyday movements and exercise, why modern people use their bodies incorrectly, and the most fundamental aspects of how we use our bodies in general and how we should move each part of our body.

Through demonstrations, he explains how seemingly mundane movements like standing, walking, and sitting can be dramatically transformed, and how to effectively climb stairs using martial arts hand gestures.
