Girl here. The difference is that in valo they are being weird, but in cs they just vote kick you.

This ranged from "Teehee I'm kinda awkward around girls" to ok bro that's straight up a fucking crime

"My chat wants to ask" is code for im not actually a streamer, im just a creep who wants to be able to blame chat for the question"

Sexual harassment vs competitive racism

Valorant vs cs2

I’m a woman and I used to love watching cs videos as a teen, I eventually got the confidence to download and play. I saved up my money to get a headset with a mic and I was sooo excited. My first match as a 14 year old girl, first thing I said on mic was that it was my first match ever so I was sorry if I was bad at it. I was so shocked and frightened at what they said to me I didn’t play it again til I was 17. Guys saying they were going to r*pe me and make their dogs r*pe me, the classic kitchen comments, saying they’d r*pe my mom and make me watch, walking up to me and making kissing and licking noises, asking about my vagina and more, then they kicked me. My dad never let me use the mic again until I was 18 for good reason tbh. Even now at 23 I never talk and I portray myself as a man on most platforms/games. I know shit talking is normal and funny but when they know you’re a woman it goes too far most of the time. It sucks that I have to be silent and not engage in the fun to be able to play/not be harassed.

this isnt even just val or cs this is the whole gaming community as a whole

My homie is always surprised when girls add him after a game. I told him: "bro, if you treat them like normal human beings you are already above 75% of guys"... sad but true

Honestly this sucks for women. I once got in a team with 3 with my duo but we treated them like any other teammate. They had crazy coms and strats that got us the clutch win at the end and they thanked us for not being weird right at the end and added us. Very unique and fun match I think I won't forget. Not to mention they were cracked, each having more than 18 kills each

The irony it's that men bully and harass you so much in games that women stop playing or lose interest, then you have so much fewer women playing games and they say we are bad... make it make sense!

The problem is we as women shouldn’t HAVE to go through so much work of finding a full squad or turning on a voice changer so that men would stop harassing us over a game or just simply existing.

I once said 'Hello' in the VC of Valorant, and a guy told me what he was going to do to my body. Just a little reference of how bad things are out there.

“Less likely to happen at high rank”

No, I’ve had former pros throw my game as they berate me in comms with their stack and gaggle of spectators(at least half a dozen). I would’ve much rather deal with them one/two at a time as usual, but I think a lobby full of mouth breathers barking down mic at me truly drove me off coms permanently because there’s no winning against that. My ENEMIES were literally apologizing to me for what my teammates and their spectators were saying to me in match chat. I frankly just have much better chances of winning when they think I’m a man and I don’t get on mic to activate my teammates like secret sexist sleeper cells.

“Queue with friends”

Nope. Guys will pretend to be platonic with you for a few weeks/months/YEARS and then spontaneously lay it out on the table that they’ve been in waiting for your love since the beginning.  It’s exhausting to navigate over and over when you just want to play the fkin game and laughably offensive when they know almost nothing about you but your screen name and rank.

Being an older brother, I’ve got to deal with this while playing with my little sister and her friends for years. And I tell every guy the same thing, pretend it’s your sister, mom, or girlfriend on the other end of the mic. Treat them like a person first and teammate second, and you will show and get nothing but respect in return.

i love how ohne recognizes and tells the mods to take action cause some of these dudes ARE indeed present in his chat too. common ohnepixel W

The solution? If other guys reacted negatively to this behavior, it would stop. Cool guys telling the immature, rude guys they are dumb and to behave, that would work.

"Fastest mute in the west" took me out😂

"It's just jokes...based on ideas...that I'm reinforcing."

9:20 lol no. Every single time a girl/woman has been on my team when I played there was at least 1 dude like this. They don't get banned.

As a dude who has been gaming for 25 years online, I can count on no hands the number of times I've been targeted for my gender. But i promise you there are cringelords in the same boat who will watch this and say "this is normal, they're just being silly, learn to take a joke". I'm embarrassed for them.

Respect to those who watched the full video. Its only been 6 minutes and I cant tolerate these guys
