If you've just found us through Château DIY on Channel 4 — welcome to Château de Pican! 🏰
This is our companion video to our guest suite reveal episode — the bits the cameras couldn't quite capture. The final mad scramble of preparations, the full reveal of our East Wing guest suite, and a handful of moments that didn't make the final cut (including one very unfortunate piece of plywood).
We're Jane and Rory, a British couple in South West France restoring a long-abandoned 19th-century château back to life.
In this episode:
🔨 The final push to finish our East Wing guest suite
🖼️ Mural wallpaper installation (with the chaos that came with it)
💡 Chandelier cleaning, curtain hanging, and last-minute finishing touches
📦 A DIY disaster with a piece of plywood (Rory's finest hour)
✨ The full room reveal — everything the show couldn't fit in
New here? Our "New Here? Start Here" playlist picks up the full château restoration story from the beginning — grab a cuppa, you'll be here a while. ☕
