The silver lining in it being cancelled after one season...it'll never be ruined, it'll always be the work of art that it is.

'We Didn't Know How Good We Had It" could be the title of a very long book about pre-2014 entertainment.

Out of Gas is the greatest episode of TV ever made, in any genre, in any era. I'll die on that hill.

Nathan was born for this role, but every actor was amazing in their roles, I miss this show.

That depressed "go away now" at the end hit hard. But perfectly sums up many people's feelings about Firefly too. This show was made with love and you could feel it.

I have never seen a cast gel as fast as those on Firefly, it was like they were all born to play those roles.

Kaylee. What a beautiful character inside and out. Everybody I know who has seen the show loves how she was written and portrayed.

When I was in film school and met my roommate for the first time, he was unpacking his DVD's and he pulled out Firefly. I asked him "what show is that?" and he said "The one you should've watched but didn't"

He was right.

The best thing about Firefly is, you can rewatch it a hundred times without it ever getting boring.

The best thing about Firefly is that it never got a chance to go bad. Every episode is perfect in its own way.

That’s one of the saddest “go away nows” we’ve ever heard. I feel ya, Drinker. Here’s the definition of injustice (in entertainment terms): five seasons of Star Trek: Discovery, 14 episodes of Firefly.

Never would've thought the Drinker could get me all misty-eyed, but he did this time.  RIP Firefly.

I was the boom operator on this show. It was a sad day when it was canceled and it deserved better. Thx for highlighting this special show. It was one of the good ones.

"You deserved better then you got... and in the end, we're the ones that lost out"  What an ending Mr. Drinker. Well done.

I swear by my pretty floral bonnet, in a parellel universe, this show was never cancelled, and went on to become the best scifi series ever!

"What does that make us?"
"Big damn heroes, sir."
"Ain't we just."

“She’s torn aplenty, but she’ll fly true.” Thank you for this. It was lightening in a bottle, and because of it, and how much we cared for it, we became family. Forever grateful for everything it gave. ❤

Firefly was the perfect storm. The cast and the crew immediately bonded and were fiercely loyal to the show. Whedon's idea to build the Serenity whole to scale was friggin gold. So much so, that the cast actually resented their trailers and preferred to hang out on set together! Their chemistry on screen wasn't just acting, they really did become friends. Even between shoots they didn't leave, they pretty much lived there. They ate their meals together, talked, played and even slept in their quarters ON SET! Even decades after the show's cancellation the actors still keep in touch and frequently show up as guest stars and cameos in each others' projects.

While it's incredibly sad, the show's early cancellation did do one good thing: it preserved Firefly as the masterpiece it was.

Caught it in reruns😢
Absolutely WONDERFUL show.😊
Thanks
