You cut so many corners and still barely beat it… I still say Bravo!  This mission is maddening trauma.

Having finally beaten this mission in August, after it has taunted me since my childhood, even when knowing what to do, after having grown up, this mission just plays with your mind.
Even with three different guides pulled up, corner cutting, and wall riding, there's 12 different sectors, and between each one you're constantly uncertain of if you took that corner Well Enough. It's the same feeling you get when 15-30 second license tests. "Was that entry good enough? What about my line? My exit??" except the feeling lasts for what feels like forever. Then the cycle repeats over and over.
While you constantly stress out about making errors.
While you constantly stress about about what the SLR is doing, what your tires are doing.
While you realize you're approaching the next opponent and need to not choke this pass.
While you blast down that giant straight and think about that exact moment you need to hit the brakes., and nervously wonder where along the last few corners you'll encounter the 300 SL.
I bet I took a few years out of my shoulder pumping my fist to beating this.

Came back to this video just now after beating mission 34 for myself: 9'12.351, just got the two Le Mans endurance races to go then I'm at 100%!

Not quite
The SLR is equipped with Comfort Tires (hard), the worst ones. You can check it on the Replay of a successful Run. You're  even taunted in the Mission Description

This is the most difficulty challengue in video game history , me in my childhood never did it , but my father always have attempts on it , after we complete the game with only this mission left , he face the challengue in weekends beetween beers ( he used the 130 secounds to drink lol ) , took 10 months for him to complete and we finally got the 100% complete , good memories.

Despite never having played a Gran Turismo game, your commentary really got me hooked! Great video!

The Zonda LM Race is the whole torture worth 😃

not quite any order, there's a bug in the US version that means mission 1 doesn't properly mark as finished if its not done first so if you do any mission before mission 1 you can never get the delorean, but as long as you do the first driving mission first you can do the rest in any order you want

"games from my childhood" -> plays ut99 hyperblast

MY GUY

If you can memorise the Nordscleife circuit, then Mission 34 becomes easy compared to GT5’s Sebastian Vettel Red Bull challenge or GT7’s final Super License test I forgot the name but it’s driving Porsche 917K on wet Spa.

Omg I absolutely hated that mission. Made me go back to Tekken Tag

sees the video:
thinks "it's nurburgring isn't it?"

loads video: oh hey been here before!

Wall riding to win. Ross Chastain is most pleased

Cool how you used Trevor morris' NFS carbon music

Crime to play any GT game on third person view.

Pretty sure this mission was the reason I got a racing wheel. Still was super difficult but man I’ve been sim racing since, it’s been a blast. I’m thankful for GT4 and for it for getting me hooked on this fun pastime of Sim Racing.

6:00 the racing line you used is different: in the left you are close to the middle, and pull towards the right because of small corrections i assume, on the right you stay on the left side and are in the ideal position to take the corner, wich is specially important on narrow sections like this one.

Great use of the NFSC music, especially by using the climax part at the end of the race!

Mission 34 always kicked my ass i don't know how many times. I nearly had a heart attack when I finally did it. The Toyota 2000GT and Honda NSX race car challenges held me back for a while. The more you did it, the better you got. It wouldn't have been a challenge if it was too easy. I always loved the ram tactic, I mean, who hasn't? I always love doing it to BMWs, as at least you can knock them off the road in the game and get away with it. I won mission 34 simply by staying on the track and going at it multiple times until I got it right.

thank you i might finally beat this fricking game
