See, I told you I'd be back sooner rather than later. I'm Still doing things the wrong way though.

Summing up A Single Pale Rose as "Steven helps Pearl find her cellphone" is kind of like summing up The Martian as "A guy tries to grow potatoes"

"This sounds like a lot of weird mental issues."
And people say Steven Universe is hard to explain, but here you are nailing it in one sentence.

fun fact! the reason pearl has "inner pearls" is bc thats how theyre formed in real life! bits of sand and other things that irritate a clam will be covered in layers of a shiny material known as nacre (aka "mother-of-pearl"). as more and more layers are built around the sand, it forms a pearl! those pearls are literally her layers!!!!

"Evidently, this episode is about Steven helping Pearl find her cell phone. I don't really see how that could involve-" Oh. Oh, you sweet, sweet baby child. NEITHER THE FUCK COULD ANY OF US AT THE TIME.

So the lowest rated episodes are ronaldo, a filler crossover with an objectively annoying character, and ronaldo again 😭

I’d say that at its core, Steven universe is about relationships. Father son, new friendships, old friendships, toxic relationships, changing relationships, grieving, hoping, and ofc, romantic love

damn bro really went for the big spoiler

4:06
Garnet: “Hey Kids! Don’t be racist”

A thing that exists btw

i like that his reaction to the biggest reveal of the whole show was that steven’s mom was hot

15:30 Bro him guessing this and getting it totally right is CRAZY

I can't believe the big reveal of Steven Universe is that Rose, an already hot woman, was actually an even hotter woman in disguise. Bravo Rebecca.

3:51 LMAOOO "They hate men?!" has to be one of my favourite jokes from the show. It was the show being self aware of the people saying Rebecca sugar hates men because all of the gems are "female-coded"

For context, in the gem society, pearls were made as personal attendants for higher ranking gems, and the diamonds are the highest ranking of all. The pearl we know belonged to Steven's mom so she's unable to disobey her diamond's orders. But Steven got his mom's gem, which means as soon as he learns about it, the authority transfers to him and the old command gets undone.

as an SU fan this was probably one of the most painful, infuriating and entertaining video i have ever watched. and especially knowing bro is missing the full context of a poof, and the diamond authority, it feels like watching someone eat a handful of ham without the bread.

20:53 Yknow I really thought he was gonna put together the reveal here from the little bit he saw, only for him to be thirsting 😂

You know the show is good when the lowest rated episode is not "THIS SUCKS" its just a mid "meh"

22:28 it's not really a "romance" show but it's a show about love. Most importantly self love

4:07 "i didnt think that steven universe would have ever touched on racism" meanwhile my wife will not stop quoting the 'kids! dont be racist.' garnet psa thing

18:37 Pearl shape shifted to look like Rose (Steven’s mother) to fake pink diamond’s shattering so pink could take on the from of a rose quartz for the rest of her life, you can tell this because of the gem on the fake roses’s head, and her eyes.
