I've saved almost all my cash in splatoon 3 for the past year and recently reached the maximum of 10 million. I decided that the most logical way of using my wealth was spending it all on a gacha mechanic. This was livestreamed on my channel for everyone to watch (and make fun of) my descent into addiction.
My goal was to roll a gold banner, a 1/1000 chance that I've been unable to hit all year. Will today finally be my lucky day, or will I leave with an empty hand and an empty wallet? You'll have to watch the video (or read one of the inevitable comments that spoils everything) to find out.

Explanation: When making the octo expansion video I contacted artists of tracks I planned to use that didn't explicitly state their music was free to use (Frums, Cacola, Nanoray [who I never got a response from]). Frums linked me to a spreadsheet of all her released music detailing record labels and whether or not she was able to give permission to use each track. At the time of making this video I wasn't aware that 'memoryfactory.lzh' was commissioned to be used in the rhythm game 'Arcaea', who the creators of also own the rights to the track. Upon realizing this, I found Arcaea's derivative work guidelines and quickly skimmed through it. In doing so I found a section stating individuals are permitted to make derivative work (outside of games and software), and that "types of works, such as fanart, novels, and comics, whether physical or digital, are permitted [...] Individuals are permitted to produce and sell these works freely, provided that quantities do not exceed 200 units". Recently however, I took a closer look reading the full thing and found another section stating "You may not use any of the music or sound effects included in the Arcaea app or on any of its official soundtracks for any purpose, including derivative works". It doesn't appear that any action has or will be taken on this video as a result of using the track, but fear of demonization isn't why I want to replace the track. Using other people's music the way I have up until now has been incredibly irresponsible of me and even though it's a year late, I want to in some way try to rectify my mistakes. My reasoning for using these tracks as opposed to exclusively game osts is I want to bring more attention to lesser known composers that I respect, but going behind people's backs and using music I have no right to use is not respectful. Going forward I want to be more diligent in this process to avoid a repeat of this situation in the future. Please do not ask Frums about this, I let her know in the initial email that I would remove this from the outro or 'sing sing red indigo' from all my vods if that's what she wanted and she made no comment about it whatsoever. It was 100% my decision to do this.
