Who knew Matt was such a motivational speaker! Not bad at all. Very natural and insightful.

If only every person who ever took the time to watch a film starring Matt Damon took the time to watch this speech at least once. He is candidly and authentically brilliant.

Matt sure has his act together .What a gentleman of integrity, you got it without a degree 😊.

more than a movie star, he has integrity and empathy. great speech!

Still an amazing and inspiring speech in 2025. Very relevant today.

I’m saving this for whenever I feel anxious about my life. This is a great combination of humor, warmth and wisdom, and his voice is just so soothing❤

My kids loved Spirit and Good Will Hunting! Congrats to all at MIT who are graduating

Thanks for your speech matt i hope my dreams will come true

It is so inspiring, mostly for the graduating class, but likewise for  this 68-year old retiree here in the problem-saddled country of the Philippines, and who  keep on believing on the values of education and  service to humanity among the  youth.  Thank you, Mr. Matt Damon.

I'm way late to listening to these graduation speeches,  by cute smile Damon,  to me he is an angel for helping in the journey that brought Clean water to Africa, n Danzel who gave an inspiring speech along w/ Beautiful crazy Jim Carrey

Some of the world’s biggest problems “like a pandemic” 8:04. Funny when your watching in 2020

1. You’re going to fail sometimes and that’s a good thing (15:28)
2. You got to keep listening (17:07)
3. Not every problem has a high-tech solution (18:35)

My brother received his acceptance letter to MIT after his passing. It’s a letter my mother has kept always and is something that I will always  wonder if he knew that he had gotten accepted would things be different today. Psalms 23 💝 💕

- setting an example: facing the problem of bright minds being bought off by the finance sector, which in many ways contributes little to society/mankind, he has the courage to address the issue, and speak to a life of service to mankind, rather than of service to oneself -  so unique to dare to address this problem at graduation, that I'm sure the audience, and the people who watch the video, were shocked...***** for matt    ;)

Wow!!!  That was a speech full of amazing ideals and ideas.  MIT Class of 2016, you made a great choice!  Good luck to you all!

Water is paramount. Clean water is CRITICAL.
