Can you build a profitable business, pursue growth, and still keep God first? The Bible gives Christian business owners a much deeper definition of success than simply making more money.

In this Christian Business Connection Bible study, we look at biblical business principles found in Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Joel, Daniel, Ezra, Haggai, and Zechariah.

These books were not written as business manuals. They reveal who God is, how He deals with His people, and what faithful obedience looks like. Those truths should shape the way Christian entrepreneurs approach work, money, leadership, integrity, success, and stewardship.

We will talk about:

• God as our source
• Business becoming an idol
• Pride versus humility
• Money and biblical stewardship
• Integrity in business
• Working faithfully without trusting in our own strength
• Keeping our priorities in God's order
• Standing for biblical truth in a culture that does not
• Being faithful in small beginnings
• God's provision without turning faith into a promise of financial success

Daniel reminds us that earthly success does not make us sovereign. Nebuchadnezzar looked at Babylon and took credit for what he had built, but God humbled him.

Haggai gives us another important warning: “Consider your ways.”

The people were busy building their own houses while neglecting what God had told them to do.

That gives every Christian business owner an important question:

Am I simply asking God to bless what I am building, or am I allowing God to determine what I should build?

Zechariah 4:6 reminds us:

“Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.”

Depending on God does not mean refusing to work. We plan, learn, market, serve customers, manage money, make decisions, and work diligently.

But our business is never our god.

Money is not our source.

Success is not our identity.

Growth is not proof that God approves of everything we are doing.

And difficulty does not mean God has abandoned us.

God is the source. We are the stewards.

Build the business—but don't worship the business.
