When I was a youngster I would collect beer cans from where the big kids would hang out and cash them in and then go buy packs of baseball cards.

I just caught your video! Haven't looked at my stuff in years and you made me peek! Look what I found, a Derek Jeter SP foil #279 that's been in a cover since new... time to get it graded!!! Thanks! Now to my football cards....

This forces me to go down into the basement and search my old stacked boxes of baseball cards 60s through 90s.

I have a few of these from my days of collecting as a kid. All raw pulled from packs, no individual purchases. Thinking seriously now about taking all of my cards (about 8k total) to Heritage Auctions for some (hopefully) retirement funds - except for maybe my Ryan rookie card. Always my favorite. And with the Aaron, Henderson and even a Pete Rose rookie card, I'm hoping there's enough interesting cards to spark some interest. Real shame my son's not interested in them.

Wow, these bring back memories! I have a bunch of these cards but never got the Tiffany cards, most of them I got in packs. I think I've still got that Rickey Henderson 1980 Topps card in my office somewhere. Thanks for posting this!

I have a few boxes of baseball cards from the mid 80s to early 90s that my parents kept in their attic from when I was a kid. Didn’t realize people still collect them.

Nice video. I have Tops complete boxes from 1983 to mid 90's. I may be missing a couple years, but I have not opened any of them in many years. Some of the complete sets were never opened and still have the cellophane wrapper on them. Not sure what I should even do with any of these complete sets. Fun times for sure!

I love videos like these, very fun and informative! My favorite card that I have on this list is the 1980 Topps Henderson RC. I had thought about getting it graded but I think the best it would grade is a 7, at best, so I’m not going to send it off. I’ve sent quite a few 80s and early 90s cards off to PSA via GameStop and it’s just so hard to get very high grades on that era. I did get one 10 on a 1991 Nolan Ryan Leaf card but that wasn’t a very high dollar card and a couple of 9s on some early 90s Jordan cards.

Who is spending this much money on these Mass Produced 80s and 90s cards ??

Back in 1993, I was 11. My parents had bought a new home and we moved. My room had an in-ground safe in it. I took my best cards and put it in the safe not knowing my parents didn’t have the safe code…lol, they’re still sitting there as I type this, collecting age and value.
