I built a complete log cabin from scratch — stone foundation, tiled roof, and every piece of furniture inside cut and fitted by hand.
The foundation went in first — dry-laid fieldstone set level into the ground before a single log was placed. The walls went up from there, round timber notched at every corner and stacked until the cabin had real height and real weight. The roof got proper ceramic tile over a solid timber frame — the kind of roofing that lasts decades, not seasons. Inside I built everything from wood on site: a bushcraft bed, a table, and a chair, shaped and fitted to the space without anything bought or delivered.
Stone, logs, tile, and handmade furniture. A log cabin built the way it should be.
