Grigory Yavlinsky, Chairman of the Yabloko Federal Political Committee, testified in court in the Lev Shlosberg case:

"Lev Markovich is a humanist. A politician whose work is focused on preserving human lives, respecting the dignity of the individual, the dignity of every human being. Lev Markovich categorically rejects violence as a political tool and consistently advocates resolving all political conflicts at the negotiating table.

Lev Markovich firmly believes that politics is the art of negotiation, not war. Lev Markovich consistently advocates for the peaceful resolution of all conflicts because he considers the preservation of life to be the highest value. He has a principled position that he has never wavered from."
