The wonderful things your videos help me with as an  intermediate piano player is to examine and think about my playing at a deeper level. For example in this video you demonstrate two fundamental things pedaling is used for. And also demonstrate the transparency of articulation without using the pedal. As someone just starting to play my first Mozart piano sonata it helped me understand why Mozart is so hard from a technical perspective - even though  your video was not about this. Your videos motivate me to inquire. It is pretty mysterious to me but is what makes them so enjoyable for me. Some I've spoken to think you videos are rather dry. My answer to this is - look deeper than the surface of his presentations. He doesn't mine out the gold for you but gives you a sense of direction in how to do so. This makes your videos exciting. In real life I have a teacher very much like you. He will not always tell me the why and leave it for me to explore - which makes it so much more fun. How to practice the piano is a very important topic. Practising Practice with Graham Fitch is really a great interview with you.

Excellent way to practice. Ironically the way to improve the use of the sustaining pedal is not to use it.

Thanks for that Graham. Brilliant as ever.

Dry January? Nope, never heard of it. Must be a British thing. :-)

0:36 Love the opening, "Just don't peddle". Reminded me of a Tommy Cooper joke.

Very nice Lessons! I am just starting at my career as a pianist, i would like to know your opinions about my latest videos. It was my very first studio recording! Thanks you!

THe pedal is an integral part of the piano and piano performance, So why must we not use it?

It's funny, that he calls finger pedaling an actual technique, when I think I'm committing a sin when doing so, that is, when I lazy don't raise all my fingers in time in an arpeggio, especially left hand.
