Also..Deserts and Bad Lands have a much higher chance of finding gold ore in the caves.

Fun fact about the badlands; in that biome, gold ores generate three times more than normal, at least on stone layers.

Okay, you always spawn within a few hundred blocks of 0-X and 0-Z. Heading back to zero will always get you to a familiar place.

The desert at night is notoriously dangerous.

You can use phantom membrane to repair elytra

Silk touched ore tip: pillaring up IS fun, just slow. You can stand in between two blocks so you stack two blocks at each jump, and mine a little faster going down because mining while falling is very slow.
Silk touching then breaking down also skews your stats a little - you end up mining each ore twice! It's an argument for fortuning while mining and turning into blocks as you go, depending how much you like nerding out on stats. 🤓😅

Flying pachage: shulker with rockets, spare elitra - I recomend you get a second one. Also two quick ways of healing it: 1. Buy xp bottles from the cleric 2. Bring also anvil and phantom membranes in the flying shulker
You also need 2 bundels: 1 with overworled compases and a second with nether portal compases. Or just add  N. Portal to the compas name

For example, I usually have 26 shulker boxes in my ender chest. Most of those.shilker boxes are dedicated for specific types of items, like tools, armor, various supplies,
And I leave some empty to place and carry loot or mind blocks with me back to the base. That allows me to access a wide variety of items while out and about exploring, mining, all working on various projects without having to return to the base to get more of them.

Cactus and the wandering trader are the only ways to get green dye.  A cactus farm is simple but make sure you have some for when you decide you need green.  Brown dye is also valuable as it only comes from coco beans.  But that's all if you are into aesthetics. Cactus only grows 3 tall but cannot have a block next to it.  So, place a glass pane beside where the top will grow.  The top pops off and you use water to collect.  No redstone other than a hopper.
