Went through something similar in the Air Force. False accusations, crappy investigation, trumped up charges, but I did hire a great civilian attorney and charges got withdrawn and dismissed before ever going to trial via general court martial.

I went through something similar in the Marine Corps but I was found not guilty in the both civilian world and the Corps but they really try to screw you

Sad to think that a lie can sure ruin your life permanently. And sad that he had a sorry lawyer that pretty much didn't let him prove his innocence

You touched a theory I have about life..sometimes don't push too hard because you can force yourself in a worse situation....be grateful for the situation and go with the flow...still be assertive but don't over optimise to the point of deminishing returns....

My ex wife made false accusations against me. I was at 18.5 years of my career. Thankfully, my command saw through her BS, but I almost lost my career because of her lies.

I came across this video while binge watching and my heart goes out to this guy. It’s sad to hear about what he went thru and I hope he’s doing well. Abusive people such as his ex, never know when to stop and are to weak to just accept the relationship is over!! One day she will pay for everything she did to this guy!!

For all the negative comments here, I’m a retired Army JAG officer and served for years as a defense lawyer and prosecutor. I don’t know this guy personally, but everything he said is consistent with things I’ve seen happen. Nothing he says is unbelievable. Men get falsely accused all the time and often convicted. Although you are only hearing his side of the events here, it all sounds believable to me.

He is 100% correct when he says the military doesn't believe in "innocent until proven guilty". Military officials don't have the balls to dare rule against any "victim" regardless how far-fetched the claims. It has become hardened into the command culture so much that it would hurt your career if anyone actually stood up and actually called BS on the charges. I was also a subject of false accusations and they ran their entire "investigation" and finalized their findings without anyone ever talking to me to get my side. Not one conversation. Fortunately, there wasn't enough to substantiate the claims but instead of throwing it out (again, no balls to call it BS) they just pussed out and said it was "inconclusive". What a joke.

Two things. First, before a Soldier in my company was sentenced for basically regret $ex. He was with a girl and her family found out he was black. She was also married. So instead of her family being mad she was having an affair and with a black guy at that, she claimed sexual assault. Crazy thing is during deployment everyone knew they had something going on because they were always together, and late at night too. Second, years later I was a Victim Advocate for SHARP. Numerous time as an Advocate doing an intake of a client, you could tell something wasn't adding up or they just were not telling the truth. Just something seemed off. Also a case I was assigned was to an old Soldier friend (Battle Buddy) of mine. He was accused ,etc. I served as that Soldiers Victim Advocate. Well during trial that Soldier literally admitted that they did claimed it out of anger since they had "break up $ex". Well the old Soldier friend (Battle Buddy) of mine was found innocent, but nothing happened to the "Victim". In fact the old Soldier friend (Battle Buddy) of mine's career was basically ruined and he ended up having to get out after 13-years. So yeah this guy is right, it happens all the time!

1:16:32. Absolutely true! Its call an expedited transfer. When submitted you chain of command has 72 physical hours to respond. Even if a holiday, or weekend, etc. Then when granted you literally get to choose where you go.
