El Chapo is NOT an escape artist. His men did all the work and he just walked out. He didn't even do the planning. He just gave the order. Easy as pressing a button.

I can give you a few insights, Florence was built in 1994, I was finishing my last two yrs of a 10yr sentence. I was sent there with a hundred or so others. We were sent to finish setting up the grounds and to make sure the system would run smoothly when the prisons opened in 1995. At this time the idea was to have a minimum security facility surrounding a medium security facility with a maximum facility in the middle going down 2 stories deep. So the idea was if someone from the max wanted to escape they would have to escape out of three prisons. Since leaving I have heard it's changed. The minimum and medium is gone and Is now just a supermax and prisoners can work through to get more privileges with less security. Places like USP Leavenworth are like giant medieval cathedrals. With just bars locks and keys. Unlike Florence which had doors with buzzers and cameras everywhere, It was the first of its kind with all the hightech gear that's normal today. It really was the first of its kind. But like I said that was 1994/1995 I'm sure somethings have changed.

I want you all to know that there are signs along the highway on both directions from some Penitentiaries saying "Do NOT pick up hitchhikers as they may be prisoners" they have the signs in Cañon City. 😅

"The Most Psychotic Blunt Rotation of All-Time"

Banger.

You forgot about the sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads!

The best and totally inescapable place for these monsters is a pine box 6 feet underground...

Dont underestimate the luxury of a controllable light switch in prison

Now every time I hear “ADX Florence” my brain automatically tacks “and the Machine” to the end. So thanks for that!

I’ll be damned if I feel sorry for the guys in there for any reason.

21:47 “Privileges of the Damned” is a sick death metal band name.

Fun fact: Colorado actually has 697 sides, making it a hexahectaenneacontakaiheptagon.

The fact that we keep people like this alive in the first place is mind boggling.

I heard that mewing someone up in ADX Florence costs the federal government less than executing them because the latter requires the case to go all the way up and down the ladder to the Supreme Court exhausting every legal avenue before the death warrant can be granted. And keeping them in top security prisons while it wends its way through.

I sleep better knowing the residents of ADX Florence are securely locked up. And I don't care if they find the accommodations harsh. They've earned every miserable moment of their isolation.

I don't care about their health, mental health, social health anything about them. To earn your way there, you deserve the ultimate prize. Enjoy! You've earned it!

"No blue demon horses involved."

Just wait.

Timothy McVey was only in ADX in 1997 to 99 and then was transferred to federal prison in Terre Haute where he was executed in 2001 his co-conspirator Terry Nichols is currently incarcerated at ADX

McVeigh was one of the few inmates transferred OUT of ADX Florence, albeit to be executed in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Damn that's an awesome motto for a prison, "Even in death, the shackles remain."

The lawsuit about cruel punishment is difficult to accept. The prisoners did not care about the rights of the people they hurt and yet expect people to care about their rights?

As to receiving medical care... we have to consider the risk to all staff above all. Here in Western Australia there have been absolute horror stories about what has happened to doctors, nurses, psychologists, chaplains, lawyers, police and prison officers while trying to help.

If you are a danger to others, at some point it is more important to protect staff.
