This was the final great heavyweight fight of the best ever decade for heavyweight boxing, the 1970's!

Holmes went down like he had been shot. This is when he proved he had great powers of recovery from a very heavy punch. Earnie Shavers said "For seven seconds, I was the champ." This is without doubt the best quality upload of this fight now available.

Two tough nuts, one tough fight.Ernie Shavers and Larry Holmes produced some incredible action. The amount of punishment they were able to absorb was unbelievable.

Great to have kept those vintage tv ads too, brings us back to then.

A fight so close to my heart…brilliant. I recall Larry hitting Earnie with 2 hands at the same time…never seen that before!

This is wild, that a Shavers fight, showing him once again running out of gas, pops up after British heavyweight, puncher, Moses Itauma's fight, where he ran out of gas.

Thanks mate, best quality I've seen of this one.

Great Quality. Thank you!

That punch would've KOd every champ in history - bar one. What a fighter Holmes was to stand toe to toe after taking a shot like that.

Love this fight ❤🥊

Another masterpiece as always 🎉

This was the challenge with these 15 round fights, you run out of gas

Wonderful quality and upload.  As close as he came to winning the title against Ali, Shavers was even closer here against Holmes.  Heartbreaking for Earnie, but also a test for Holmes that he passed with flying colors.

I was just watching this fight yesterday and thinking whether a version of higher quality on this fight has ever been posted, but there you go today.

at 33:09 I thought Holmes was done after that Shaver’s punch. Holmes showed the heart of a champion. Got up off the canvas and won the fight.

Best copy of this great bout !!! 😊

A lovely stuff Vintage!! I love this fight, Larry's speed is something else in this one. Shavers gives a great acount of himself altot more than there first fight. Larry showed what a champ he was by getting back up after that peach of a right hand from Shavers, but Larry had great recuperative powers & was straight back into the fight. Afew more shots here & there by Shavers but Larry was in total control by the late rounds, beautiful boxing from Holmes & a great win. Top quality mate! Amazing quality sound aswell ,love the sound of the punches. Thanks for this one Vintage!! Cheers mate!🤝

Imagine Shavers around now with guys like Wilder lauded as great champions....crude assessment but he's like a polished Fabio Wardley.

Ovakvi borci i ovakav boks više ne postoji, sve do Tajsona dok mu nisu smestili ono si****nje plus onaj pokvareni Don King itd.
