Her husband keeping her remains in his home and not giving her a resting place her son can visit out of spite imo hurts me to think about.  You may not have liked the kid but have some humanity.

The husband was extremely creepy. The way he treated her son is very telling. I have followed her case for years she deserves justice.

So horrible how her husband Rob  treated her son, it was very disrespectful to Patrice’s memory

I wonder if the perp was already in the salon when the person called to reschedule their appointment and that's why Patrice was short with them.

Changing the locks and not allowing someone to return to their home is a crime. How was Rob allowed to get away with doing this to a child?

Wow, a 13 minute window and it's still unsolved?! I'm praying Patrice's loved ones get answers and justice for her soon! :_Detective::_Staysafe:

Her husband was an absolute horrid and evil man. How petty can you get to keep his things and not give her ashes to Pistol.  And so sick to carry her skull around and have her remains reassembled to look at her one last time. What a sick and mentally unwell bastard.  I pray for peace for Pistol and hope that he is secure in his knowledge his mother loved him beyond words. I pray her husband is burning in hell.

This is kind of a side note, not sure it's important. But I kept thinking about Derrick saying that the last person to walk out before the possible perp walked in was probably on their phone or could've been on their phone (sorry don't remember his exact words), so they would've missed and not noticed anything strange or anyone in the parking lot.

Thing is, in 2004 cell phones were still pretty new to the general public and most people didn't have their heads down on their phones like they do now. We're talking flip phones, so no internet or social media. And texting was one of the most daunting and PIA things on those things.  Most of us were using them only to make calls.

If the last morning appointment was leaving and saw someone in the parking lot, they'd have likely just thought it was the next appointment.

I saw this story on  netflix on their unsolved mystery series.I thought her husband had something to do with it when I watched  the netflix doc.

My birth mom’s husband has held her ashes from my little brother and me as well as her parents and siblings. Two of her kids got them. It’s a revolting power play to make. It hurt at first, but the way I see it is I got a carbon copy of her face, her tenacity and share DNA and he’s bitter and holding on to any leverage he has to manipulate people into talking to him after harming her for years.

I hope Pistol is able to find as much peace as possible after such a heartbreaking loss of his mom and that her story stays in people’s minds and hearts to get more information uncovered. ❤️

The way her husband talked about her remains comes off (to me) possessive in a controlling manner.  Maybe he felt if he couldn’t have her no one could. Just odd

I live in Cumming, GA, about a mile from where that salon used to be, and I can tell you this is a pretty rural part of Forsyth County with lots of winding, hilly roads. Because of that, I really doubt it was just some “transient” passing through. There isn’t much commercial development out here, and it’s not an area people typically end up in by accident. I also wouldn’t consider most of the roads in this area to be highways.

Technically, my ZIP code is 30028, which is still Cumming, but the main part of the city (30040/30041) is about 25 minutes away. The closest major highway, GA-400, is at least 15 minutes away. In my opinion, you generally have to have a specific reason to be out here. My guess is it was someone local or someone visiting family.

I’m also very familiar with the part of Dawsonville where her body was found. It’s another remote, rural area that you probably wouldn’t stumble upon by accident. It isn’t somewhere you just pass throug you’d likely need at least some familiarity with the area. And again, I wouldn’t consider most of the roads out there to be highways either.

Edit: What’s kind of crazy is that I grew up in Douglas County, only about 15 minutes from Sweetwater Creek.

these cases, where there turns out to be more than one serial killer in the area, make you stop and realize how many crazies are really out there...

She was WAY out of his league.

Ok as a single mother, that man that she married, kicking her SON out of the home and having him have to find somewhere else to live, THEN taking her ashes, is a reprehensible and hateful man. May he rot in h*ll. He’s abhorrent.

Now that I am finishing this up I really feel like the psycho spouse probably did it. What a horrendous excuse for a human. Glad he’s dead but I’d much rather have him rotting away in prison 😡

Patrice deserves justice. Thank you for publicising her story, Derrick ❤

I like and hype these videos before even starting them. This work is SO IMPORTANT. Keep up the good work, Derrick! ❤

My old coworker was a detective with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Department during this time. I asked him about this case and it’s one that stuck with him and I pointed him to your channel to watch this episode.

I think the whole robbery thing was staged. Could have been someone she was familiar with since there was no sign of a struggle.
