▶ A woman who underwent plastic surgery on 21 places at once: Who is responsible?

Ms. Jang Mi-sook (pseudonym, 42), who works as an insurance agent in place of her unemployed husband.

Since her job involves meeting many people, Ms. Jang wanted to be competitive in her appearance and sought out a famous plastic surgery clinic. During the consultation, after the doctor told her to have surgery on a total of 21 places, Ms. Jang signed a consent form for surgery to fix all 21 areas simultaneously.

However, the results of the surgery were disastrous. Side effects appeared all over her face, making even a normal life impossible. Yet, the doctor maintains that he only performed surgery on 13 places simultaneously, not 21, and that he cannot provide compensation because the side effects were caused by patient negligence.

"My life was completely ruined by the doctor's incorrect surgical method," says Ms. Jang!

"The side effects occurred because the patient smoked during the recovery period," counters the doctor!

We will find out with Attorney Jang Jin-young who among them bears more responsibility.
