Killer drop! I currently ride my 77 IT175 with a 1980 IT425 rear shock and air caps on the forks, reed spacer, Boyesen reeds, Gunner Gasser throttle. Sooo much fun and also still have my 79 IT175 that was my first big bike dad bought used for us in 84. Been collecting parts to bring her back to life. That one is getting a 78 YZ125 aluminum swingarm and the forks among other mods. Like Tony was saying, this 175-200 displacement is like the perfect fun bikes. I'm 54 and still love them, but i guess I'm stuck in the 80's...Merry Christmas y'all 🤙

WOW, you brought back memories with this!!! I won't bore you with ALL the bikes I had from 1980-1995 , but I had some you cover in this video. Although in 1984 I was in the "B" class for enduros and hare scrambles I purchased a new KTM 125 exc 84. It only weighed 194 lbs with 34.5 hp!!! I made "A" class that year winning the 0-200cc class!! Guys riding IT's, and KDX's would come up to me after the race and ask "what the Hell do you have in that thing"!!! STILL my favorite bike I ever had!!! District 16, Wis. Thanks again Tony!!!

What a great bike for a Christmas Eve drop. I loved these bikes back in the day, and the light blue with yellow accents color scheme. I love the new heritage Husky colors because of the old IT’s. Still waiting on Tony’s review of the 1984 - 1985 RM 250 E and F models. 😉

The IT was a great bike especially for a beginner racer. My 1st race bike I bought with my own money was an 85 IT200. Several years of fun and developing skills in the woods set me up perfectly for a step up to a Husky enduro bike. Ironically I now have aYZ250X that has me enjoying the Yamaha 2 stroke engines again. BLU Cru!,

I had an IT 175 1983, I love the bike! Here's the best bike I've ever owned. Bulletproof bulletproof I hit a cow in the middle of the road at full throttle and the only thing it did the bust the throttle assembly and the front fender. I flew 25 ft on the other side of the cow killed the cow damn near killed me

In my area, all we really saw were used MX bikes. Even though NONE of my friends raced, we all thought we needed MX bikes. We would have been much better served by woods bikes. At 53 i now own an FE350w.

I had an 85 it200. We rode mostly wood so it was an awesome bike. I loved that bike. I was not happy the day I sold it.

I appreciate that you still use singular plastic to refer to the group of fenders and tank on a bike. That was how I learned to call it in the 80s and still do today.
