You're destroying it's resale value for high $$ collectors! ππ ( only partially kidding, some collectors would ask big bucks from other collectors (fellow suckers) for it as is due to "potential future collector value". The fascinating provenance story for that particular gun is worth at least another $1,000 so I hope you have signed and notarized documentation!ππ)
Gunowner takes it out of a very expensive gun safe purchased just for it and daily, at sunrise and sunset, whispers the lyrics to a very ironic yet personally sentimental Rick Astley song to it. It's touching to behold, or so I hear from eyewitnesses to the event.
This is why I sold my SP1 6 months after I bought it and replaced it with a 1972 Simson 35/70. The Beretta quality isn't what it should be. When they stored in in salt water they should have thrown in a reusable packet of silica gel. Love your work.
I just started watching gunsmith videos like a week ago so there is a lot I know about other things but not much about gunsmithing. In this situation I would think a bath in vinegar would take the crud off pretty good. Is that a no no in the gun biz ?
