Leather used to be the second most valuable part of a cow, after the meat itself. Today, so much of it goes to waste that discard rates are climbing every year... and nobody updated the price tag on the idea of leather to match.

This is experiment number two: a full desk setup: mat, four coasters, and a mouse pad, cut from the same cheap 3mm buffalo hide as the Poşet, to prove commodity leather belongs on more than one product.

I like the concept and affordability a lot. But I'm not a fan of the design. I would order it if it had rounded angles instead of cut off.

I love this so much. I make costumes and have found that I can get leather cheaper than pleather. Leather is harder to work with, but it is insane to me that it less expensive than the imitator.

Dang I just ordered a leather desk mat that was about twice as expensive, the algorithm really has a way of waiting till it's too late to show you things

As others have said, a single large piece of leather for both the desk (keyboard + mouse) would be great. I’d buy that for sure 😊

My desk doesn't need this, but thank you for the message you are creating. Most products today are designed and built to become waste within a short span of time. It is very difficult to find things that are truly built to last, but it is not that tough to actually do that. You are doing this with leather and it is very heartening to see this.

I think it's a very nice idea but I usually prefer a single large piece where I put both my keyboard, wrists, and mouse. I'll be on the lookout for that

I was actually planning on getting a leather desk mat from a local leather workshop soon, and yours is very reasonably priced. I would also love to see a larger desk mat and a leather catch tray from you guys.

Oh I like this idea much better. Perhaps consider a larger mat that goes over the edge of the desk, because so many tables have sharp edges and it gets painful after a while of resting your arms on them.

Your channel inspired me to start leather working. A use leather for bookbinding, but now I have made really high quality goods, such as pen cases and journal covers, for an extremely low cost in leather from local dealers (in Spain). Trully, leather is not a luxury material. I plan to make my own bag next, I supose that the leather won't be more than 20 euros. Here, fake leather bags can cost up to hundreds of euros, it is just insane.
