RIP Dame Maggie Smith (December 28, 1934 – September 27, 2024), aged 89
You will be remembered as a legend

Graham was so excited when he found out she was going to be a guest on his show. And that’s why he had no one else on the show except Alan - wanted to dedicate the privilege just to her. Wonderful, wonderful guest, worth every minute.

How is it possible to love a woman whom I've never met?!  RIP Dame Maggie 💗
The GOAT

I myself don't understand how I can love someone I don't actually know, but Maggie Smith is so great that I really can't help it.

On this sad day, RIP Dame Maggie, this makes the most wonderful tribute to her.

I love her dry wit, facial expressions

Sharp as a whip that woman. And bloody hilarious. What a gift for any good interviewer. And probably quite frightening to every bad interviewer :D

Dame Maggie Smith first appearance on a chat show in 42 years. Hope she does another interview on the show

What a great time to be alive at the same time as her. May she rest under the stars now.

Her wit and charm are impeccable not to mention her talent. “Sir King Bensley” slayed me!  RIP Dear Lady. Your legacy has left so many great memories that will never fade and there will never be another like you!  It just seemed you were meant to be with us forever. And you always will be. You are a National and International Treasure of the arts. Rest peacefully!

RIP Maggie 💔
Rest in peace, dear Maggie. You were one of the kind. You will be remembered by many generations

It's so sweet how she's still so modest about acting with others.

R.I.P.  Dame Maggie.  You were the best.

"Good hat, isn't it?"
I love her priorities! 🤣 She's amazing!

Closest to royalty you can get on the show. One of the most talented actors in the world. Her fame in Harry Potter was like Alec Guiness in Star Wars. They were both introduced to a new audience. She was delightful in her Oscar-winning role in California Suite.

She ought to do more interviews, she really is in her PRIIIIIIME.

Maggie Smith is a global treasure. Loved her since I was a kid.

Lady in the van is one of the dvds that I will be playing in a tribute marathon.  Maggie will be missed. We are richer for the grand legacy she left.  Thank you Dame Maggie.

She's funnier than Graham himself. Crowd erupted on every word she spoke.!

She's so different from the roles she plays but she is the perfect actress for every role because of her incredible sense of humor.
