Description:

Step inside Danny's renovated late Victorian home in London - a house stripped right back to brick and rebuilt with real care, where reinstated cornicing, restored fireplaces and antique finds sit alongside Crittall doors, a green quartzite island and a striking zinc-clad extension 🏡✨

Bought in 2023, the plan was simple: move in, do a bit of wallpapering, take it room by room. Then the plaster started crumbling off the walls. What followed was a full renovation — a year of design and planning, then a complete strip back to brick.

Inside, the house has been carefully restored to its heritage: block Victorian cornicing reinstated, a plaster head stripped of decades of paint, an original staircase that took a year to bring back, and a working gas fireplace fully restored in the main bedroom.

If you love Victorian renovations done properly, heritage details mixed with modern moves, and homes styled without an interior designer, this one's for you.

This is honestly one of the most beautiful restorations I’ve seen on you-tube. Well done. All the paint colours and finishes are stunning and the garden is the icing on the cake. Well done ❤❤

So refreshing hearing someone say “room” instead of “space”. The whole place is so authentic, love!

Beautiful job. For not being actual designers your choices were outstanding. Bravo!

It’s almost unbelievable you are not interior designers. Impeccable taste, really thought out, could have gone wrong in so many ways but it just didn’t. Fantastic job what a beautiful home!

This is a very nice restoration. A perfect blend of victorian and modern. So nice to see someone not knocking all the walls down.

As an architect- absolutely stunning. Truly one of the best I have seen, and I work on this type of project as bread and butter. The colour choice and design decisions were exceptional. well done.

Omg I loved this house renovation. I think you were very wise to keep the formal dining room and I loved the kitchen .

Everything is tastefully done, with a look that’s both stunning and modest.

This house is better than most interior designers' homes. I love the chosen finishes and colors; well done! I have to say, when British homes are run down, they're just the worst, but when they're restored, nothing compares, anywhere. The quality of the woodwork, cabinetry, etc. is top notch. Thanks for sharing.

The amount of care and attention they devoted to restoring the home's original historical features is truly remarkable. Such a deep respect for history, culture, and architectural heritage. The fact that this was accomplished by such a young person/persons makes it even more admirable. And the beauty of the space itself is simply stunning. The colors are absolutely gorgeous.

So glad you didn't have a budget for a designer! Your color, stone and furniture selections were as remarkably agreeable as your personality. I'd never use that much muted or faded color, but you did a whole house of it and I wouldn't change a thing! Whether you renovate further or not, you have a fine home to enjoy now.

I love how you respected the original style of the house. I also appreciate the respect you showed for the previous owners' taste. As for the décor, it's beautiful and tastefully done.

Absolutely beautiful renovation. Not only have you created a new and comfortable home true to it's origins, but a design stunner, and more importantly, without a stiff and pretentious "don't touch" feel. Kudos. This is an exceptional build and design.

I've watched an awful lot of house tour vids on YT, some of the houses are worth 10's of millions of pounds, most I enjoy watching, but I would not want to live in them, I could very happily live in this house, its so beautiful, so well renovated, decorated and thought out.

It takes a lot to impress me because I am unforgiving and curmudgeonly. But this restoration is awesome. So many spot-on choices you made from the brickwork at the front to the alcoved ceiling and skylight upstairs. The carpentry in the kitchen and bedroom are terrific and the windows/door in the kitchen extension blew me away. It shows that you had a really good relationship with your architect (absolutely crucial).and that the contractors (for all jobs and details) were on the same page which is all down to good communication as well as professionalism on their part. Bravo guys ! You've worked wonders and that house is going to love you loads for giving it renewed life. Wishing you many many happy years there !❤
