Anderson Vital da Silva (Volta Redonda, July 1, 1988), better known as Dedé, is a former Brazilian footballer who played as a defender.

Career
Volta Redonda

A standout in Volta Redonda's youth ranks, Dedé was promoted to the professional squad in 2008. In the same year, in his first state championship, he played in 18 matches and scored three goals. The following year, after a good Campeonato Carioca with Volta, where he played in 13 matches and scored two goals, in 2009 he was signed by Vasco da Gama along with striker Robinho (R$984,400 for Dedé and R$600,000 for Robinho).

Vasco da Gama

At Vasco da Gama, he won his first title as a professional: the 2009 Série B, despite not receiving many opportunities in the first team.

In 2010, Dedé continued to receive no opportunities as a starter for Vasco and his dismissal was considered certain. However, in a game against Vitória, in the second leg of the Copa do Brasil quarter-finals, Dedé was selected due to a lack of available defenders in the squad and, despite the team's elimination from the tournament, he stood out and had his contract (which was due to expire in a month) renewed until the end of the year. From that game onwards, Dedé became an undisputed starter for the Rio de Janeiro team, being cheered by the fans in almost every game.

In October, Dedé and Vasco reached an agreement to renew his contract until the end of 2014.[2]

In December, after the end of the Brazilian Championship, he won the Prêmio Craque do Brasileirão award as the best right-sided defender.[3]
