JOEL LOOK AN ALIEN

This game would be perfect for Joel to play while Frank scares him

48:49 "I like the idea of just constantly dying of radiation in space and being like 'Aw shit I need my insulin'"

Yep, that's the game. That's literally the entire game lol.

I really love how this game tries for an early 2000’s System Shock 2 Esq. Aesthetic as opposed to a Retro PS1 thing so many indie games go for.

9:53 "Some Half-Life technology." This is Joel's reaction to a normal lathe lmao

all i want joey to play forever is this, VotV and factorio

Joel's chat is an AI from some years from now so it explains why they think walking around is hard.

19:31 I'm so glad someone else enjoyed the mako sections in Mass Effect. Sniping geth from across the map with the cannon was always fun

Scavenger jerk reminds me of saints row 3 when you get your own vtol.

YES I LOVE THIS GAME THANK YOU. I wish it was a bit more stream friendly so it could actually be popular, but man its such an awesome game.

Joel mentioned PAT AND MAT show, holy crap

Gets the best fusion reactor power generator in the game, immediately throws it into storage... seriously Joel

You can always ditch the compass, map, and status display to make more space for loot. You can check the map from the ship console and there's no point in doubling back to areas with no loot. I also get rid of the power controller to make space for the weapon because if you make enough power the power controller is unnecessary

I love this game, I've played it so much I've gotten speedrunning highscores down to an art

The end/Final Score screen reminds me of a much older game called "Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space". It was an event-based game that played almost like a boardgame.

You don't need to watch things research, just hit research all and send the rover back out immediately. Most things will be done researching by the next time your rover comes back

I'm so happy that he sat down and played this one. It's a bit tricky to get into, very old style inventory management and hard-punishes fucking up, but Scavenger Sv-4 is legitimately one of my favorite indie horrors because of the Epilogues. Every story is a bit different, every venture guarantees a cool little 30-minutes-to-an-hour adventure, and it all wraps up with a satisfying story.

Super excited for the miniseries he mentioned. This game can get pretty spooky. Makes me wish for a remaster/expansion.

The faster and more you loot the higher chance spooky and cool things will happen

0:00 "No" ~Joel 1946

FUCK YES.

"How does a compass work off-earth?"
Good point. If that planet has no magnetosphere it wouldn't work.
