The down stream side of your roadway should be about 6in higher than the upstream side of your road. maybe plant a tall growing tree by your gate in that pile of sticks and sandy dirt will help with sucking water away and stop pooling water as the tree grows.

Young lady, if you wanting sediment to stay in th road, cast a little soil against the base of those rock you got lined up, that will cause th incoming water to slow enough, to start climbing up that small berm. It will drop what it has, plus build up. I would suggest, hooking your structure, to help hold your sediment. Sometimes you can chop grasses, and like th Beaver dam, prevent you bigger pieces of sediment from flowing past or around your intended structure.

To avoid covering the same ground over and over. Try ," Gridding your land". This means, putting markers down where you have already traveled to gathering those rocks. You can go to your local hardware and gather flagging of different colors, drive a piece of ," Rebar in th ground," wrap it, to help you know where you already have looked for them illusive rocks. I got th grass cut around th garden, and blew th grass off of th sidewalk too. One of my neighbors came over, commented on my efforts, and said he owed me some cash.!! I'm thinking (??)
