Oakland North Cali..Bay Area Stand up

Peace to the 415/510.

I recall living in Oakland Ca as a child. 1988 -1992 was extremely intense. 175 homicides in a city thats 78.5 square miles is hectic.

Cokeland  ☄️❄️❄️❄️

I am from Oakland California grew up with that cat right around the corner me him and D Mays play together every day in D May’s backyard. He was my best friend growing up.

Born and Raised in the town. 51 years young. I know so many folks that got addicted or died from the Crack cocaine epidemic, family included. 🙏🏿

Always hearing how bad those years were and my brother and i walking through the east to west 11pm-2am with our pops. Seeing all that shit and just thought it was normal. Man we kids were blessed 🙌🏾.  Pops didn't make it through Jan 94 🙏🏾.  92'- early 94' were wild af in the town.

Oakland was a city I admired growing up in the segregated south in the 1960s and 1970s. I longed for that sense of pride and unity. It's so so sad what happened to us as a people both intentionally and unintentionally 😢

Interesting that the two biggest wars (that I can think of) in Oakland's history, Felix vs MM and AF vs Black, all four of these men walked away unscathed while these wars left unfathomable carnage in its wake.

Ant was a millionaire in the late 80's & early 90's. Dam near everybody with the Flowers last name was getting bread back then. It was alot of teenage millionaires in Oakland back then.

That intro never gets old 🔥

Crazy as this probably sound, growing up in Oakland in the mid 80's was all good, and if you came out alive it benefited u in the long run because it prepared you for all kind of BS in this world. If you can make out of the Town you can make it anywhere. Facts

It’s just sad that we keep reliving these times like they were some glorious times or something. We were killing each other sad and sick.

Peace to the casualties and survivors of the Crack and Reagan Era.

I was a CO when Ant was at Lompoc. He was a stand up convict. He was respected on the yard. I helped him out of a situation that kept him out of the SHU once. I pray him and his lovely wife are doing well.

Lived down the street from the flowers, knew mickey moore the momos also knew felix i went to school wit Hennessy flowers

RIP Huey P 🙏🏾
