2002 changed to gear drive . Last year of timken bearing.  174k miles. Beat the hell out of it. Runs perfect

strange about the comfort question. most of the twin cam softails had the same suspension parts (I'm assuming) ...yet most agree that the M8 softails give a better ride.

I have a soft spot for the old stuff. Having said that, I can't decide if all the later Fatboys are an evolution of or a copy of/ tribute to the ORIGINAL. But there's no arguing the latest bikes are (subjectively) better bikes. Cheers

Those 110 screaming eagles are notorious for having bad cranks and running very hot because of that fact. Had 2 in shop for Dark Horse cranks,one has been completed and being broken in other is in the on deck circle.

I prefer the twin cam Fatboy,  didn't like what they did to the headlight on the M8's

Love my 2013 TC mainly because it still has the classic look and the solid chrome wheels. I have ridden the M8 Fatboy and found it a great bike to ride., it was a lot smoother and more powerful but I just love the old classic Fatboys more. Have to agree with you about the Evo carby model they have a sound all their own.  Hubby has a carby model TC Springer and it also  sounds very much like the EVO. Great Vlog

You have seen and ridden more Fattys than most of us, so you have room to talk! The looks of the Fat Boy S were what sold me on getting it and it’s a great choice for overall champ. I got compliments on that thing wherever I went. That 110 was at the time the biggest motor that went in their bikes right from the factory. So going just off engine muscle it outran any fat boy previous. I’m with you that the weakest as far as style are the ones they have given us the last few years.

The best Fatboy is the 117 M8 period.

Great video. The only Fat Boy I have ridden is my '22 M8 114. It's an exceptional bike with more power than most riders will ever need.  But the stock seat is an uncomfortable POS.

The best Fat Boy is one that is paid off! Lol. I have a 2017 Fat Boy S and I do love it! I honestly don't feel like it runs that hot at all but maybe the full exhaust and tune I have helped with that

Stock front tire is shit. I have a Metzler Cruise Tec. So for it great. This is on my 2024 fatboy.
