My two cents: I would suggest moving Cloud and IaC toward the end. There is a risk that introducing Cloud (e.g., AWS) too early encourages a reliance on vendor-specific implementations before a student understands the underlying distributed systems principles. In my experience, it is more effective to prioritize distributed systems problems and solve them yourself with bare containers and CI/CD first before reaching for some off-the-shelf solution. I like a 'local-first' approach to DevOps, which ensures you learn to build applications that are testable and observable in isolation. If you can't run and debug your logic locally, automating the infrastructure often just masks issues rather than solves them. Moreover, so many problems these days are solved with unnecessary infrastructure rather than simple code. Cloud is powerful for scaling, but it shouldn't be the default for learning DevOps or distributed systems.

Weren't you that first introduced me into Golang in your tutorials?
Most possible cos I can't forget that diamond voice of yours.
I think you have been so impactful with your tutorials so far.

Nana, a DevOps Queen, thank you for a new video )

Thank you for your impactful videos. Love from Pakistan.

If you’re currently working on backend side so the devOps is saviour for you. Currently AI is not much capable to do that much in cloud
Currently i am working as backend + DevOps Engineer
And this video is clear and good path you can follow i already completed 95% of these topics
So DevOps is all about what she shared in video
Thank you as per my 3 years experience i can say this video is best

Connecting the dots is most important in using everything from high level to actual implementation. Thanks Nana ❤

Great Roadmap documentation. Thank you so much.

Hi Nana, recently I got a job in a aerospace company and there my role is devops + QA. But my previous experience was completely into automation testing. In the new job, I need to learn many devops concepts. Every topic is new to me. If you were able to make videos on these topics, It would be more helpful to me🙏🙏🙏🙏 here are the list of topics 👉(Aqua, coverity, jfrog artifactory, devops metrics, best practices, devops guidelines, auto versioning, git flow, gitlab flow, github flow, conan, qualys, SAST, DAST and Auditing)

"...or youtube tutuorials...including mine."
Nana started smiling here. I can imagine her camera people frantically waving their arms and making the "CUT THE MIC" sign.
Don't worry, these videos are too good. We're gonna keep watching.

Thank you for this video. It validates my current roadmap of starting with the fundamentals. Hoping to work in the cloud soon!

@arpitaverma669 6 months ago

This roadmap actually makes DevOps feel much less overwhelming. I like how you broke it into clear phases starting from Linux fundamentals and cloud basics before jumping into Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. Makes the learning path much clearer.

@houssemmhamdi1137 8 months ago

Thank you for this video and all the resouces that you have been providing throught the years

@salarrj9984 6 months ago

This is one of the best pieces of advice because everyone tries to give you a roadmap, not the reason why you use DevOps and why these things attach to each other, and the best advice for me is to save yourself from tutorial hell and dependency on videos and courses

@Smooth-Programmer 7 months ago

Valuable insights for DevOps engineers.

@montdeez2 7 months ago

Taking one of your courses currently. Your content is gold.You break down each concept with precision. I already started a side project with what I learned. Thanks for everything!

@SandyLearner 8 months ago (edited)

Thanks for consistently sharing grounded, eye-opening content—I’ve been following since before DevOps went mainstream.
One gap I still see is networking: most courses stop at OSI/subnetting/port basics, while real DevOps work demands deep dives into HTTP, DNS, TLS, CNI, packet analysis, Firewall/Load Balancing and backend networking --- Infra layer. With wide related tool-coverage .

How should one plan networking fundamentals to be truly Future-ready Roles, and is CCNA/CCNP/Vendor-specific --on-prem skills expected for modern DevOps, hybrid cloud, and SRE engineering?
If possible , would love to see this addressed in upcomming contents( in form shorts/short video)
