It’s crazy that only 8 years ago I watched her go viral in that class with Pharrell and now she’s a worldwide star and giving the commencement speech at her Alma mater.

I wish I’d had someone so cool and inspiring as my commencement speaker a gazillion years ago. You crushed it, Maggie! I hope everyone in that space knows how lucky they were to share it with you.

That was truly inspiring. I sit here three years after graduating and everything you said resonates so deeply within me. You made me realize how important my peers in school were and still are. I have since lost my connections with all of them, but after hearing your words, I am realizing that maybe that is why I have felt so artistically lost and alone. Thank you Maggie. Today I am going to work towards finding my school mates and regaining those powerful connections that once fueled and encouraged my growth.
