I used to be self-conscious of these bruises, but at this point ego has left me and I don't care about them anymore! I'm going to wear short-sleeved shirts and shorts when it's hot and that's that! Although, I WILL be using a couple of these solutions to help deal with these things.

I noticed that every time I’ve been taken off blood thinners like plavix etc. the bruising went away.

I was in a coma for 30 days and I was also in a second hospital for another month and couldn't walk and was given blood thinner injections. After that I get these terrible blood bruises. I asked my DR what I could do about it and he said nothing.

I get purpura a lot. I have 2 on my left hand right now. I’m 70 years old and I got them this time while changing the sheets on my bed. I don’t mind them and they certainly don’t embarrass me. I’m going to pick up some arnica cream (with witch hazel.)

One very important thing you did not mention about Helichrysum Oil Balm it should not be used if you're on a blood thinner because it increases the risk of bleeding. I recently bought this balm listening to your video because i have those ugly deep red marks that eventually turn brown and never go away on my arms from accidental hitting, touching something to cause these marks which i got from taking a daily blood thinner.

I've had Purpura for years. My Mom had it on her arms, but mine appears on my hands. I'm not a Dr., but I have found a good quality organic (cold pressed) Castor Oil helps tremendously. I just have to apply it every 2-4 days. If I miss that time window, it will eventually return. I hope this helps. Once again, I am not an MD.

I’ve always had the theory that this is a sign of subclinical scurvy. This seemed to be confirmed when my father-in-law had always been proud of his teeth, and he started to lose his teeth as he got older. I began to notice this in other older people as well. It definitely seems to respond to vitamin C.
