There's an archive that almost no one knows about: that of unfulfilled dreams. Cars designed, built, tested—and then stopped before reaching dealerships. This video recounts ten Fiat prototypes that could have changed the history of the Italian automobile.

The 1954 #FiatTurbina, with its 300-horsepower gas engine and a Cd of 0.14 that held the record for thirty years. Giugiaro's #FiatLucciola, rejected by Turin and later renamed the #DaewooMatiz—over two million units sold worldwide under the wrong name. Pininfarina's #FiatNuvola, which in 1996 had already understood the success of the new #Fiat500 eleven years before it was released. The 1991 #FiatZIC, a plug-in hybrid thirty years before the market was ready.

Every prototype in this video was a good idea. Some were premature. Some were sold to the competition. Some still remain in a museum today, fully functional, awaiting a future that never came. Because the history of the Italian automobile isn't told only through the cars that were produced—but above all through those that weren't.
