We take turns pushing these rifles through a 500 yard KYL rack, dealing with:

Changing wind conditions
Lightweight rifle recoil
Limited ability to spot impacts
Factory ammo limitations

This challenge quickly proved that 500 yards with hunting rifles is no joke—especially when the wind starts picking up.

Great video guys, could I suggest putting out a series of wind indicators of some kind whether it be surveyors, tape or actual wind flags it will give you a much much better idea on what to do, you can’t see the wind change, and if you are holding on the last shot, it could be completely backwards😊 just saying, thanks again, keep up the good work

I've shot triple blackjacks with both my 308 (Winchester model 70), and my Tikka 6.5 Creedmoor. Both those on video. In the wind, I'd grab the 6.5 every day and twice on Sunday. You guys did well and had fun. In an actual blackjack challenge, you don't rely on a spotter, so you have to be able to see your impacts and misses. Good stuff though.

How do you like the MDT Field Stock over the factory stock?

Im still a die hard .308 guy and in love with my M1A loaded, but out at the range, 6.5 is the way to go. Ammo’s equally as available, same price and easier on the shoulder. Q Fix, 24” Proof Research, Nightforce Optics, NX8 2.5-20x50mm F1, MIL-XT Reticle. Can shoot the dick off a fly with that thing.
