David Draiman | The Magnificent Others with Billy Corgan

The Magnificent Others with Billy Corgan

65,494 views

Billy Corgan sits down with Disturbed frontman David Draiman for an unfiltered conversation about music, identity, and what happens when an artist steps into the political firestorm. What starts as a reflection on a surreal Black Sabbath/Ozzy tribute quickly turns into something deeper. Draiman shares how the October 7 attacks reshaped his worldview, why he felt compelled to go public, and the personal toll it’s taken, from media narratives to fractured relationships. Corgan pushes on the bigger questions: Where’s the line between free speech and responsibility? Should artists use their platform for politics or stay out of it? This is a tense but thoughtful exchange about conviction, consequence, and the role of artists in a divided world.

You can't pray for peace while signing artillery.

When he said Doesn't recognize the World anymore that's exactly how I feel

Wow! I didn't know I could like Disturbed even less!

hilarious that the first thing a guy who signed a bomb to be dropped on living people says is "remove the hatred"

@mancmayhem8165 5 months ago

Billy you didn’t have the bollocks to tell him signing bombs was wrong. Whatever your politics, revelling in the death and misery of military artillery is sick.

@MartyMcFly081 5 months ago

David, did you hear a little Black Sabbath song called WAR PIGS?

I saw the guy, just came here for a glorious comment section.

The guy signed bombs to kill children but has a problem with Kneecap 🤯

This guy didn't "step into the political firestorm", he endorsed the indiscriminate murder of women and children by signing bombs that are used with that exact intent. What kind of sub human person SIGNS BOMBS? Knowing full and well what they're going to be used for. I'm in disbelief that this podcast even happened, much less was uploaded.

This guy is talking like a bush administration official in 2004-2006 and we all know how that turned out

@Fürimmer777 5 months ago

This guy signed bombs for the IDF and laments about division. Unbelievable.

@perrynichols3672 5 months ago

Billy should moderate a debate between Draiman and Tom Morello: “Arm The Homeless” vs. “Arm The IDF.” 🍿

18:58 "One WONDERFUL picture of me signing an artillery shell." Says it all.

When tuning in today, I didn't know this conversation would go down this path. Of all I've heard, I have to agree...."I don't recognize the world anymore'.
